Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
As you can tell, that is in fact an empty bottle. I am just recently out of my bottle of this product, I use it everyday and it's been a fave of mine for years. I am using the Lancome bifacial right now, it was a freebie in a gift with purchase, and I know people swear by this, but the idea behind it is the same as this Neutrogena product and like 1/3 of the price. This Neutrogena eye makeup remover has that dual liquid thing going on, you have to shake it to combine the two. It's gentle, takes off waterproof mascara. This is something I would rebuy over and over again.Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer
The Revlon Blemish concealer serves two purposes, it is a concealer that you apply over acne, but it also has salicylic acid, so it doubles up as a treatment to help them heal as well. I have this in fair, the lightest colour. As you can tell it is very well used and beat up, the applicator on mine is bent and cracked. Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer
Maybelline's Mineral Power concealer is a good one. This is probably my favourite liquid concealer, the colour is good and it goes on smooth and is nice for under the eyes, the coverage isn't spectacular compared to some cream concealers, but it is alright.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss
I loooove the Revlon Super Lustrous lipglosses, they are pretty pigmented, some in a variety of colours and have nice packaging. Recently with the daydreamer collection, there were several new limited edition colours, I picked up three of them (you can see them on the bottom of the pic above).
Maybelline Mascara in General
Maybelline makes my favourite mascaras, here are some of the ones that I have, left to right: Volume Express Turbo Boost, The Falsies, Colossal, Lash Stiletto Voluptuous (new fave) and Full and Soft. Their mascaras are affordable, give length, separate well and volumize. I will continue buying any new ones that they come out with. Face Primer Alternatives
Primer is something that isn't necessary in my opinion, but it does help keep your makeup on, and for summer that is more important than ever. The ingredients in high-end primers such as Smashbox are also in these drugstore ones, so they do the same thing and are much cheaper. The Monistat anti-chafing gel is a cult favourite to use on your face as a primer, the other two are Rimmel's Fix & Perfect and Revlon's Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer.
Revlon Nail Polish
I'd have to say Revlon makes the best drugstore nail polishes, most of them apply nicely and there are lots of colours available. There are scented ones too, which is neat. I have a pretty big collection of Revlon polishes, some of the ones I have are above.
Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
This product is good to use when you sense a zit coming along and then to apply it at night to help heal it faster. Be careful though, as it will dry out that area of your skin. You only need a tiny bit of this product and I have had this tube for a long time and it hardly even looks used.
Cetaphil Skincare
Cetaphil is a really good quality, affordable skincare line that can be bought at the drugstore. Their products are very gentle, and good for those with sensitive skin. I use their skin cleanser regularly, I accidentally bought the oil skin type, my skin is not oily, it's dry, but this cleanser is so gentle that it doesn't dry out my skin at all. I also have here their spf 15 daily moisturizer, which comes in a sleek bottle with a nice pump on it, they also have an spf 50 type. L'oreal Lash Serum
Gone are the days when we need to use expensive prescription lash growth products to enhance our eyelashes, the L'oreal Lash Serum works really well to help condition your lashes and make them appear thicker and healthier. I have definitely noticed a change in mine and was very skeptical of this product at the start. I have a full review of this, that you can read here.I've tried to keep this short, and only chose 10 products, there were many more that I could have chosen. What are your favourite drugstore products?
Anyone feel the earthquake in Ontario today!?

you use a macbook too ! =P
monistat has skincare !?!?! =\ lol
i had the Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover too. one thing that scares me about this one is it looks like it has OIL inside of it. it feels like it too. i don't like any product that feels or looks like it has oil in it =\ but it sure does remove eyemake up with just one or 2 swipes !
Monistat doesn't have skincare persay, that anti chafing gel is meant for... other areas haha. But people use it on your face, youtube it, it's all over!
It says oil-free though lol. It's part of my nightly face routine. I take my eye makeup (if I have any) off with that, then wash my entire face, including the eyes, so there is no oily possibilities left.
hahaha i agree with winnie, i've tried the neutrogena "oil free" remover and it does feel like oil! lol i've been using a diff makeup remover lately but i think im going to switch back to this one. it did work very well for me :)
the anti chafing gel works great as a primer! i have now stopped using any other brands cause this one does the job perfectly for cheap price :)
i really have to pick up some of those revlon lipglosses. i was never really into lipglosses until recently, so i need to make my collection grow! ;) thanks for posting all of these products, will definately try them :D
I have to get me some Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover! Btw I TOTALLY agree with you on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses, on Maybelline mascaras and on face primers! Have you tried Elf's Face Primer? :)
@ Stavroula - I have the elf primer, it's okay. I don't reach for it very often to tell you the truth.
love your revlon lippie collection! and i agree that l'oreal lash serum is super effective. :3 maybelline mascaras are also super!
gross !! lol !! that's like saying, using it as a toothpaste ! LOL
great post!! I love Maybelline mascaras and Revlon nail polishes also. I'm not a big fan of the Neutrogena makeup remover though.. I've had it before but I always go back to Clinique makeup remover. I'll have to think about my faves and do a post!
@eleveth - using what as a toothpaste? I am confused.
monistat anti chafing is a product used for irritation and chafing, but, since it contains silicons, it makes for an excellent primer. It's actually really popular, keeps your skin matte and poreless. It dries to a kind of powder feel.
i love revlon lipglosses. i haven't been able to find those spring colours, where did you get them or did i just miss the boat. i also agree they do great polishes.
my fav. drugstore mascara is loreal telescopic and i love maybelline pink please lipstick. i love jergens natural glow face moisturizer.
@ Cindy - I found my revlon lipglosses at pharma plus, I still see them at the real canadian superstore. If you are in Canada, check out those places.
I have the Rimmel and Revlon primer, too, but haven't used either yet as they came as GWPs with their foundations. Which one do you prefer? The Rimmel one is tinted a strange orange color.
I looked for those Revlon daydreamer l/g when Rexall had their 50% off sale and couldn't find them. Bummer.
@junrose - agree about the rimmel, it is apricot coloured, but it blends in. The revlon is better, I like that one.
Is the Revlon gloss with a brush applicator or a sponge? And I love this post, thanks for the information.
@lacquer - the revlon glosses come with doefoot sponge applicators.
I'm a big fan of the Physician's Formula twin concealer - the one that's green at one end and fair at the other. I'm Australian and unfortunately drugstore products here are not as cheap as they are in the US and Canada (we get totally gouged here), but this concealer is a pretty reasonable price considering how good it is.
(By the way, this is my first comment, so hi! I've just discovered your blog recently and I'm really enjoying reading it!)
@Dee - hey thanks for commenting and stopping by! :)
I haven't tried the neutrogena make up remover but the clean and clear one (purple bottle) works just as well as my other bi-facil type removers.
Thanks for your comment on my blog, girl! I just followed you- I can't believe I wasn't already doing so. I thought for sure I was, lol.
Anyway, great picks. I used to use Cetaphil and loved it; I'm not sure why I stopped. I'm going to check out that Revlon Blemish concealor next time I go to Target. Question for you-would you highly recommend the Lash Stiletto Voluptuous? I see you liked it. Thanks!
@In her makeup bag - I really liked the lash stiletto voluptuous, even though I didn't think I would.
