Mascara Monday: Maybelline Full N' Soft Mascara

Mascara Mondays continues with Maybelline's Full n' Soft mascara. Maybelline makes some of my favourite mascaras and this is one of them. I have the waterpoof version here which is supposed to be better than the regular. There is also a Vitamin E version, but I have not tried that one and am not sure if they still make it actually. This mascara promises to give "full, soft and thick healthy-looking lashes without the brittle feel, no clumps, no globs, won't run, smear or smudge and helps prevent loss of lashes with patented waterproof quick-dissolve system which allows easy mascara removal." The non-waterproof version is also supposed to be 'washable', I guess that means it dissolves easily with water and does not need a heavy eye makeup remover to take it off. What I like about this mascara is it doesn't weigh down your lashes, allowing you to apply several coats and not get that brittle feel. I look for volumizing mascaras and this one does that for me.

I have this one in the colour "Brownish Black", I generally buy black mascara but when I got this, it was the colour they had at the drugstore. I will be getting black in the future though since it will give more of a dramatic look. I think I can pull off brownish black just fine because my hair is dark brown so it matches well and doesn't look too stark.

The brush is big, but not gigantic like Lashblast, it has little wired bristles all over that grab your lashes very well and get every lash in there. It has real bristles, none of those plasticy crap that lots of mascaras nowadays have, I prefer these for sure. It applies nice and clean. The removal was fine too, I always use the Neutrogena Eye makeup remover and that gets anything off.

Here is my naked eye.

And here it is with two coats of this mascara, I think it lengthens great and also volumizes pretty well.  It definitely does not clump at all. It's funny because when I take these pictures close up, there are always flakes around my lashline, but in person you don't notice this. My mascara is probably dried out and that's what is causing this. In any case, you can see the effect that this mascara gives. It's pretty awesome in my opinion.

Here is another picture paned out a bit. I like the fluttery, defined, natural effect that this gives. It holds the curl well too. I am not one to pile on tons of coats, but this mascara is buildable if you are looking for that. I have yet to find a mascara that really gives me a dramatic, look at me lash look, and this one definitely isn't it, but I like it for everyday, it gives me the look of lashes that I would want to have without any mascara on. This mascara gives that "full and soft" appearance for sure. This is a winner for me.

Do you have Maybelline's Full and Soft?

I have the colossal mascara and it's good but I am going to get this soon from your pictures it seems better than that because it has given a lot of length and volume to your lashes
