The packaging on these is quite deceiving, you think you are getting more than you are. As you can see the outer packaging is quite chubby, but once you open it you see the two pieces separate and what you're left with is a thin lip balm (similar to the size of all their lip balms). I like the packaging though and have kept it on because I find it handy to keep in my purse, it's easier to find and the lip balm itself doesn't get dirty.
These retail for about $8 Canadian. I had one sent to me through their PR company (Hibiscus) and bought the other one (Tiger Lily) because I liked them so much and wanted to try out another colour. These are advertised as being a "a hint of colour that cares for your lips". So don't expect crazy pigmentation here, although I was pleased with the amount that you do get. I found Hibiscus was definitely more pigmented than Tiger Lily. I have read reviews stating that some of the red ones are not very pigmented, so it may differ depending on the colour you choose and your lip colour too. There are 6 shades available in total.
Bare Lips
Hibiscus
Tiger Lily
Hibiscus is definitely pigmented on me, Tiger Lily not so much, but it does take away some of the natural redness of my lips and gives a bit of a peach glow. These aren't shimmery, but they are shiny. I like that they are very hydrating and smooth.
Would I recommend this product? Yes I like these a lot. I wish they had SPF in them.

HIbiscus is pretty! I'll be on the look out the next time I'm out shopping~
I have it in Red Dahlia and was so confused by the packaging at first. For an environmentally conscious company, I thought the outer tube was such a waste. They should just sell it as they do the other lip balms. It also accounts for the higher price they get to charge, I guess. It's an okay product but not life-changing or anything.
very nice balms! i had seen these in the store and was a bit put off by how large they were, the colors are very cute and the finish looks very glossy but i think if they had added the spf it would have been perfect
@Liz - True, I guess they are expecting you to reuse the packaging, you could put pills in it or something, I am keeping mine on, I like it.
They look great! I love their original balm.
I am on a product ban right now though, I know I can't do a full on ten pan or anything (I'd go batty) but I am trying not to buy anything in July.
Haven't tried the semi-new Burt's Bees tinted lip balms since $8 is too steep for a drugstore lip balm, for me at least.
Hibiscus is tempting though.
I like Tiger Lily but it doesn't look as good on me as it does on you, I found the outer packaging is a bit misleading as to the actual balm color..but other than that I liked this too :)
Ooooh you are right, the packaging is absolutely disappointing! It's actually the first time I read a review on these. I love how shiny they look though!
I see these around Wal- Mart as well, thanks for the pictures, they look great. I think I am going to pick one up :)
I have always wanted to try these! i Think i will. Thanks for the post.
How do you get this product out of its outer packaging????
