I am not really a lipstick or lip product kind of girl, so it's crazy that I somehow accumulated 12 MAC lipsticks. I swear half of these are from the Back 2 Mac program. I think they look pretty on, but not really practical for everyday wear because they come off so easily and I hate the feel of stuff on my lips. I find that I mostly buy MAC lipsticks when they come out in limited edition collections, and I especially like when they come in cute packaging (like the To The Beach and Liberty of London ones that I have). From my collection, I believe only 4 are from the regular line. I love MAC lipsticks for their cute packaging, they look like a bullet and their great smell, I can't get enough of that vanilla smell, that makes them great alone.
These are in no particular order, except for the very first one which is my all-time favourite and the first MAC lipstick that I ever purchased Creme D'Nude, poor thing melted in my purse recently. Creme Cup is a pretty neutral pink. Myth is good if you want to blank out your lips, good for those with highly pigmented lips. Jazzed and Ever Hip are quite similar in my opinion, but Jazzed is prettier, although I am starting to like Ever Hip at first I was disappointed in it. St.Germaine is a pastely blue pink, very pigmented.
And for the second half, All Styled up is a bright blue based pink, not as pastel as St.Germaine but in the same tone. Viva Glam Gaga is one of my favourites as well, it's a bubblegum pink (I have a backup of this one). Viva Glam 2 unfortunately wears terribly on me, it's a dark nude. Hue is another favourite, it's a gorgeous peach, although I wish it were more pigmented. Blooming Lovely is a more daring colour, a blue based purple, it's an amplified creme finish. Lazy Day is a nude pink, it's a lustre so not great pigmentation on this one (I find lustre to be the least pigmented of all the finishes and kinda bad).
There are lots of MAC lipsticks that I want to get, such as Snob and Shy Girl, and some more daring coral peach colours for the summer. What are some of your favourite MAC lipsticks?
Creme cup is SO pretty. I really like it, I think it would look good on me... I'll be adding that to my ever growing makeup wish list. Thanks for the swatches!

The only ones I own from your collection are Cremecup, Hue, and Ever Hip but the others are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love your collection, Viva Glam Gaga 2 does not look good on me as well. I love your choice in lipsticks, very similar to mine. I love Innocence Beware(LE) it is quite similar to Hue but maybe a bit more pink to it. I also like Playing Koi from the Quite Cute collection, its the perfect barbie doll peach, bright and pastel.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection, I like each of these colors :)
ReplyDeleteCreme Cup is amazing! I also love Modesty, Vegas Volt, Up the Amp and Girl About Town

ReplyDeletewow mac lipstick...
ReplyDeletei love mac...
great swatches too
I didn't like lipsticks at all until recent years. My favourites from MAC are Hug Me, Viva Glam Gaga, Sweetie and Ever Hip. All my MAC lipsticks are from B2M except for 3 of them.
ReplyDeleteNice collection !
ReplyDeleteI missed Blooming Lovely when it came out and I wish I hadn't! You have a really nice range of colors. I think my favorite, which you probably know because you read my blog (lol), is Up the Amp! I may have to do a Mac lipstick collection post soon.
ReplyDeleteCreme Cup is one of my favourites too. My all time fave from MAC is Viva Glam cyndi, I have two backups!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite so far is Lazy Day but I'm lusting after Cream Cup. Great swatches, thanks (:
ReplyDeleteone thing I never really splurge on is lipsticks . I like macs but just only own 4 at this point. I am sureI will be getting more soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat post and great collection.
I love Creme Cup! I kinda wish it were a different formula though. Creamsheens tend to settle in the lines of my lips. I'm going to be doing a review of this lippie soon.
