Review: NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink

NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink
Yesterday, I reviewed the NYC Lip Sliders Lip Balms, today it's the Blushable Creme Stick. This is another super cheap drugstore product, I got this for about $3 CDN at Walmart. I know in the states they have a lot more colours available (limited edition ones), and those colours seem to be much more pigmented, while in Canada, we have like 6 shades, so that sucks for us Canadians. I read that Kim Kardashian uses this product, so it must be good right?

NYC Blushable Creme Stick
Plaza Pink was the only one that I was attracted to, it looks like a shimmery pink coral shade. When swatched, it looked quite pigmented, but once blended in not so much. It gives a subtle colour to your cheeks, so if you are looking for subtle, this may be a great product for you. This product is nice and creamy and blends easily. This can be applied directly on your cheeks by dabbing and then blending it out, or you can use a stippling brush..

I like the packaging of this too, it's great for on the go. You get a fair amount of product too (picture above shows entire product rolled up), these sticks come in 9g tubes. The staying power is not great, after a few hours, like 3-4, the colour tends to fade and is not as vibrant anymore, but what can you expect from a $3 product? I think what you get with this is really great. I would consider getting some of the other shades and definitely the limited edition ones (Pink Flash and Wild Berry) if I could get my hands on them. If you're new to creme blushes and want a practical, cheap drugstore alternative, these from NYC are definitely a safe bet.

What did you think of this product? Anyone in Canada find the limited edition shades?

  2. This is great for layering under powder blush so it lasts longer. I pair this shade with Jane Blushing Cheeks Blush in Blushing Earth Sheer and it looks gorgeous!

  11. I've never seen these anywhere near me where NYC is sold, which is a shame because this is their best product, and this review (and many others) proves it! Grrr
