ELF Cosmetics Haul: Large Brush Holder, Lip Stain and Mineral Lipsticks

So I've been ordering a lot of ELF lately, their studio line is just really great, I can't help it. This time I got the large brush holder, it has three compartments in it, to separate all your brushes into eyes, lips face, I don't have lip brushes but you get the idea. Also, two mineral lipsticks in natural lymph and runway pink. The lip stain in birthday suit, highlighter and concealer in the lightest shade.. complexion brush and eyelash wand. I was most excited about the lipsticks, I've heard really great things about them!

China Glaze Up and Away, Essie Spring 2010: Spring Nail Polish Colours from Transdesign!

China Glaze and OPI both put out some lovely spring, eastery colours in their new collections. I picked up some early through the etailer, Transdesign and received them a few days ago, they are sooo pretty. ♥♥♥♥

From Left to Right:
OPI Pinking of You, OPI Coney Island Cotton Candy, China Glaze Light as Air, China Glaze Something Sweet, China Glaze Refresh Mint, China Glaze Lemon Fizz, Essie Van D'Go, Essie Tart Deco, Essie Mint Candy Apple

The China Glaze collection, "up and away" is not even out yet, so it's pretty cool having it already. The essie tart deco and van d'go are from the new spring line, the OPI's are oldies, but goodies. Mint candy apple is from the winter, I was wanting this one for the longest time.

ELF Daily Brush Cleaner... a bust!

I waited over a month for one of my ELF orders recently, I think it was held up at customs because of the culprit above....that's right it's the Daily Brush Cleaner!!!! eww!!!  I am sorry for this review is NOT going to be good.

This stuff leaked into my package, there is a plastic coating ont he bottle and there is a box that it was held in too, but the box was damp from the liquid that had oozed out of the bottle. Clearly, the lid did not stay on hard enough to prevent stuff from escaping. And this stuff smells.. oh yeah, it has a weird cannabis smell. I am not saying it has cannabis in it, but it sure does smell funky. My house stunk when I took this out of the package. And about 25% of the product had leaked out. I haven't used it yet, I am waiting for the smell to hopefully dissipate. This product was a fail for me.

ELF Cosmetics: Mineral Face Primer, Studio Blush, Studio Blush Brush Haul

ELF order came today!!!! This may be my last ELF order for a while. I have accumulated a lot of their products in the last month or so, they always have great discount codes and make me want to order more, plus they keep coming out with new products, grrrr..

This time around I got, the blush brush, mineral face primer, tickled pink blush and eyeshadow in saddle. The blush is a wee larger than the eyeshadow, same sleek black packaging with mirror.

ELF Blending Brushes Comparison

Today, I will be comparing the two blending brushes from ELF. On the left, you have the contour brush from the studio line ($3) and on the right the blending eye brush ($1). You can probably tell that they are very different, taking pictures like this is really affective because you can may not be able to tell the difference when browsing the ELF website, but side by side you definitely can. They can be used for totally different purposes. The black one on the left can be used for precise crease work, and the one on the right for blending out eyeshadow, or even for applying shadow across the lid. The head on the one on the right is much larger.

My beloved MAC neutral palette!

I have been collecting MAC eyeshadow for about a year now, this is the only palette that I have filled. I bought most of these from the Friends & Family sale that was held last year, you got 25% off your purchase. They unfortunately did not have this sale this year, which sucks. These were all purchased in the pan form, online. These are all really neutral colours, my next palette is going to be purples hopefully.

left to right:
first row: shroom, naked lunch, all that glitters, gleam, retrospeck
middle row: kid, wedge, woodwinked, tempting, patina.
bottom row - shale, trax, sable, twinks, mulch.

ELF $3/$1 Eyeshadow Brush: A Comparison

Above is a picture of the two ELF eyeshadow brushes. The one on the left is the "c" eyeshadow brush from the studio line ($3) and on the right is the regular eyeshadow brush ($1). You can tell the left one is wider, so it would cover more lid space. The right one is tapered obviously and has thicker and longer bristles. However, this $1 one is from my latest order, the ones that I have from years back are not as tapered, more like the c brush, I like both, but I think I prefer the c brush on the left.

Which one do you like better?

Elf Cosmetics: Studio Warm Bronzer, Studio Eyeshadow, Studio Eyeshadow Brush, Eyelid Primer, Eyebrow Kit, Another ELF order!

This order came in 10 days... pretty fast. My studio line stash is growing larger and larger. Here are the goodies that I got this time around.

The warm bronzer - it didn't have that elf film cover on the inside, kinda strange, but product seems okay.

The eyebrow kit - This is not very light, and it's the lightest one that they had, I would recommend this one for sure (and not any darker) if you have medium brown hair like me.

Studio eyeshadow in amethyst - This is small and really cute!

Studio "C' brush - I like this one a lot, I will get more of these for sure.

Eyeshadow brush - This one is from the regular $1 line, I think I have like 4-5 of these now, they are my favourite eyeshadow brush ever, but I think I might like the studio line better, the head is bigger on that one.

All over cover stick in "apricot beige" - This is quite orange, it may work for undereye circles, and concealer, not sure yet.

Eyelid primer - I ordered this one from the $1 line, and then read that it's the mineral eyelid primer that's the good one. Oh well it's just a dollar.
